Through compression of the original audio or video source, we are able to format it in such a way as to provide on-demand or live programs through the Internet. Streaming technology allows only the part of the program that is being viewed to be delivered to the client. This avoids lengthy downloads prior to participating in a program. Typically, the program buffers the beginning of the program for approximately 30 seconds before beginning. Then the program plays at a one-to-one time frame. An hour long program only takes one hour to view.
